Staff Training

Full and partial day trainings are presented to audiences of all sizes and skill levels. Training formats are offered in lecture, workshop, and in-classroom instruction. All trainings are provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Titles and synopses of commonly booked trainings can be viewed here. Direct Consultation

Behavioral and educational consultation provides assessment, evaluation, and recommendations for specific students, classrooms, and programs (including IEP and BIP supports). Directly addressing areas of need in the target environment is one of the best ways to establish lasting solutions for educators and students. Direct consultation provides opportunities for more detailed intervention development, staff involvment, and highly supported intervention implementation. Combine a staff training with follow-up direct consultations to significantly improve the effectiveness of any presentation or workshop. Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) & Behavior Support Plans (BSP)

An FBA determines the underlying causes or functions of a child's behavior that impedes the learning of that student or the learning of others. This information is then used to design an individualized BSP. In some cases, an FBA and BSP are required by federal law (IDEA). FBAs are generally conducted in target environments. The findings are then presented at an IEP. BCI provides training to staff and students regarding the implementaion of any recommendations made in an FBA and BSP.
